WEEKLY REFLECTION

INTRODUCTION

This was my tenth week of School teaching practice. I reached school everyday on time and signed attendance register. Other than curricular activities I took part in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

On  October 6,I had conducted a remedial class on the topic Liquid pressure at  8 C based on the diagnostic test conducted on 04/10/2025.Also I had class management at 6 A and 6 B in the fifth and sixth period.

On October 7, I had taken a class on electronic configuration of elements at 8 C and 9 C in the  third and fifth period using innovative aid designed for easy understanding of electronic distribution in atoms.

WEEKLY REFLECTION

On forty-first day (06/10/2025), I conduced a remedial class on the topic Liquid pressure at 8 C based on the diagnostic test conducted on 04/10/2025.

By analysing the test result majority of the students made mistakes from the topic Liquid pressure related questions especially application level questions. So inorder to give a good understanding over the topic I decided to take a remedial class using model of manometer and other activities related to liquid pressure. The learners were attentive and was actively responding and doing the activities. After providing remedial class I checked their understanding by asking some rando questions. By their responses it was evident that the students got tp know about  the concept well.

On forty second day (07/10/2025), I took a class on electronic configuration of elements using innovative teaching aid. While I was teaching electronic configuration at 9 C from the chapter Periodic table I felt a need for more briefing of the concept using easy methods for better understanding hence I made an activity oriented innovative aid for teaching electronic configuration of elements. The students seemed to be interested for doing each activity since it was it was set in the form of games. I provided necessary instructions of how the activities are done and the learners were attentive and cooperative. They were interestingly participated in the session and completed each task well whenever they felt need for help clues were provided in the gamer itself. The session went really well. This work was also presented before 8 C since they already learned about atoms and subatomic particles so I just introduced the basics of electronic configuration using my innovative teaching aid. The whole session was interesting and fun filled.

On forty- third day (08/10/2025).This was the last day of School teaching practice phase 1.It was a day filled with mixed emotions.Since day 1  to this day the support and love the students gave me was unforgettable.  The School conducted off stage events related to School Annual Arts festival.  I got opportunity to assit Arts committee teachers to conduct painting and writing competitions. It was an interesting experience and the students are really talented and their creativity is appreciable. And also got opportunity to supervise dance practices like oppana, group dance and duffmuttu. It was the first time I was doing such things which was really fun. The students were so dedicated and hardworking. They dance passionately. And I wished I could see them performing on stage, bt today was the last day of my teaching practice. But I confident about their performances since they are working hard for it.

CONCLUSION

This was my last week of School teaching practice phase 1. The week was short but filled with new experiences and happy moments. Even though it was hard to say good bye to this kind hearts in my classrooms but for molding a good teacher in me this break is necessary. This week gave me opportunity to do the things I love other than teaching.The phase 1 teaching practice gave an overall  experience of   Arts festival, sports, science fair, onam, election and other celebrations. With a heavy heart temporarily taking a break from school  and excited to go back to college days at the same time.
